Our second week of school was filled with energy, learning, and a little extra fun! We wrapped up the week with our very first Fun Friday, and it was a hit. Students enjoyed extra free time, laughter with friends, and the always-popular concession stand. We love rewarding Cougar pride and positive behavior, and it’s clear our students are off to a strong start.
As we celebrate our successes, we also continue to focus on respect and positive behavior. We work hard to model respect for our students, and we expect them to show that same respect to adults and each other. This includes keeping hands to themselves, even during play or casual conversation, and refraining from derogatory or hurtful language.
This week, our 6th and 8th graders participated in an all-day Move2Stand assembly, where they learned about making positive choices, standing up to bullying, and supporting one another. Our 7th graders experienced this program last year and are expected to continue practicing these skills every day. Looking ahead, our current 5th graders will have the opportunity to participate as they move up to 6th grade next year.
We are so proud of our Cougars for starting the year strong and showing kindness, effort, and school spirit. With this positive energy, we know it’s going to be an amazing year!
