Hello Cougar Families

We're so excited to see your students! We're working hard to finish final preparations before for our hallways are filled with noise and laughter and our classrooms filled with learning students. We've missed you and we are looking forward to a great school year! We'll see you real soon!

Registration

All MCPS students are required to complete online registration, and we are now in the final week. We still have about 100 families who have not submitted their student’s registration—please take care of this as soon as possible. For help, visit our website where we’ve provided step-by-step instructions: https://cms.mauryk12.org/58134_2. If you’re having trouble accessing your ParentVUE account, contact our office or email mshamburg@mauryk12.org. We will also offer last-minute registration assistance on Friday, August 1, from 8:00–11:00 a.m. and again from 1:00–3:00 p.m. Let’s make sure everyone is ready for the start of school!

Proof of Current Address

MCPS requires all families to submit three proofs of current address each year along with registration—even if you have not moved. This is a required part of the enrollment process. We still have about 75 families who need to turn these in. You can drop off your documents at the front office or email them to mshamburg@mauryk12.org. Thank you for helping us keep your student’s information up to date!

7th grade Immunizations REQUIRED

All 7th grade students are required by Tennessee state law to have updated immunizations before the first day of school. With just one week remaining, it’s important that you submit your child’s Tennessee Certificate of Immunization as soon as possible. This is mandatory for all incoming 7th graders. Please don’t delay, turn in your documentation to the office as soon as you can.

Bus Information

Transportation has launched a new app, MyRideK12, to help families stay updated on bus routes. With this app, you can track your child’s bus in real time, view stop locations, and check pickup/drop-off times. We encourage all families to download the app now to ensure it’s set up and ready to go for next week. Need help getting started? Step-by-step instructions are available on our website: https://cms.mauryk12.org/58142_2.

School Supplies

This weekend is Tennessee’s tax-free weekend on school supplies, so it’s a great time to stock up and save. We know that back-to-school shopping can be stressful, so to help ease the burden, we’ll be providing classroom sets of key supplies this year. Take advantage of the savings if you’re able, and know we’re here to support a smooth start to the school year!
