E.A. Cox Middle School

April/May 2025

Hello Cougar Families

Happy Sunday and a special shout out to all of the moms and to the people who take on the responsibilities of taking care of our students. We hope you have a good day and find yourself smiling today!

It's back and it's open! On-line registration is required for all students! If you missed April's registration - do NOT delay - registration has re-opened as of May 10th. Please complete ASAP. If you need help, please contact the office or the counselors.

We sent out a notice last week regarding the TikTok challenges that encourage inappropriate and dangerous behaviors. Students who participate in the antics will be disciplined and possibly charged with a crime and restitution. Please speak to your student not only regarding the seriousness of their actions but the possible consequences to their personal safety. We are looking forward to the discontinuation of these ill-advised stunts and return to normalcy.

This is the last full week of school. However, we are still teaching & learning. Behaviors and attendance are still expected to be on point. We have several events planned this week including:
  • Carnival Tickets go on sale May 12 2/$1
  • 8th grade student Picnic May 12
  • Band Spring Concert May 15 @ 6:30
  • Cougar Carnival May 16
  • Yearbook Signing Party May 16

7th grade Immunizations REQUIRED

A reminder to our current 6th grade guardians...by state law, all incoming 7th graders are required to have updated immunizations prior to starting 7th grade. Please take advantage of this clinic or schedule an appointment with your health care provider. Please do not wait until the week before school starts to complete this task. Inevitably, people wait until the last minute and providers are generally already booked.
