Hello Cougar Families
Wow - this week felt like it had TWO Mondays! Thankfully though, we had a great week! Our students completed their Benchmark testing on Monday & Tuesday and our teachers had a day of professional development on Tuesday. Thursday we were back to business & Friday just flew by! And, we're already planning for another busy week ahead!

Thank to the parents/guardians that spoke to their students regarding personal responsibility and respecting school property. However, this seems like an uphill battle and we continue to ask for your help. Destruction of school property, whether it be to devices, classrooms, restrooms or anything else will not be tolerated. When students are caught both the student and guardian will be held accountable, this can include detention, suspension, fines and in some cases petitions to court. We are working diligently to create a safe space for everyone and vandalism will not be tolerated.

As the weather gets colder, please remember that blankets are not allowed in the classroom - blankets will have to be stored in lockers. Hoods cannot be up while students are in the building. House shoes are against school board policy and are not allowed for safety reasons, real shoes must be worn at school. Additionally, cell phones, per school board policy are to be stored in lockers. Following school board policy shows that we are not only compliant but we value student safety at CMS.

Happening this week: Monday morning is our Veterans Day program - all Veterans are invited to join us. Veterans are invited to a light breakfast at 8:15 as our way of extending appreciation. We also have Coming Home week for winter sports. We will have a "Let's Glow" pep rally on Tuesday and week of dress up days! Also, Cookie Dough pick up on 11/14 and after school tutoring Monday - Thursday. We highly recommend your students take advantage of this excellent & free educational opportunity.

LIke we said...a busy week for sure!
