October 20 Newsletter

Hope everyone had an enjoyable Fall Break! We had a great week! It's hard to believe that we have already completed 10 weeks of school.

Report cards went home on Friday - please check with your student for a paper copy or log into your Parent Vue account to see a digital version.

We've got some exciting things planned in the near future, please read through the entire newsletter.

We are pleased to offer both before & after school tutoring for all students grades 5-8. If you are interested in your student receiving additional academic support through in person tutoring, please sign up at the link listed below

The cheerleaders are having a party! Students are invited to join us for a Halloween Party on Friday, Oct 25 3-5pm. Starting Oct. 21st, $6 tickets will only be sold ON LINE - no ticket sales at school, no refunds. Students cannot have an office referral & must be picked up at 5pm. Event is immediately after school - students cannot go home and come back. Concessions will be available. It'll be a spooky good time that your student will not want to miss!

Our drama club is quite theatrical. They're looking forward to seeing your most imaginative Halloween-themed costume.

Drama Club will be selling $1 arm bands for students to dress up on October 31st.

MCPS dress code still applies: covered from shoulders to 3" above the knee, etc.

Students that were absent or not enrolled will have their pictures taken on Wednesday. The basketball & football teams will also have sports pictures taken - please make sure they bring their uniforms to school.

We are collecting donations of new & re-gifting quality items for our Christmas Store. If you have any donations, please drop off at our school before Dec. 3rd. Preferred items include:

We're bringing back Fun Fridays! Each week students can earn the opportunity for free time and $1 concessions by meeting schoolwide expectations. From Thursday to Thursday, students should have all their work completed, arrive to class on time for every period and not have any suspensions.

All students eat breakfast and lunch for free. You may add money to your student's account at www.schoolcafe.com OR have your student bring money to the cafeteria to fund their account for extra treats. Please click the link below to view the menus.
